Marcin Przydacz, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland and Head of the Bureau of International Policy, speaks during an award ceremony and reception at the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C., March 2, 2026. The event honored U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Michael H. Ollis, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for acts of conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty on Aug. 28, 2013. At that time, he was serving as an Infantryman with Company B, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division in Forward Operating Base Ghazni, during Operation Enduring Freedom.
