The turbine runner from unit six at Fort Randall dam sits on the powerhouse floor, Feb. 25, 2026, in Pickstown, S.D., after being removed during an ongoing major unit rehabilitation project. The turbine runner will be replaced with a new one alongside new stator casings and the refurbished turbine shaft and rotor. The major unit rehabilitation began in August 2025 and has a contract end date of September 2032.
