David Straub, a crew chief with Marine Light Attack Helicopter 369, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, fires a GAU-21 out of a UH-1Y Venom during Nansei Sword 26 off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 29, 2026. Nansei Sword 26 is designed to provide realistic training that increases the combat readiness of MAG-36 through exercising communication setup and utilization and providing logistical support throughout dispersed locations.
