Adjutant General of North Carolina Maj. Gen. Todd Hunt, conducts safety and wellness checks among Soldiers supporting the response to Winter Cyclone Gianna in Farmville, North Carolina on Jan. 30th, 2026. Hunt, who has commanded nearly 12,000 personnel since Dec. 2019, manages service members who perform training operations and disaster response. The North Carolina National Guard supports its state partners, to include the Department of Emergency Management, the Department of Transportation and the State Highway Patrol with shelter operations, commodity transportation and distribution, communication support, road closure support, power generation support and cyber security protection.
