MONTEREY, Calif. – The inaugural cohort of Marines selected for the U.S. Marine Corps Naval Postgraduate School AI Fellowship returned to campus, Jan. 14, 2026, following a five-month research sprint exploring the application of artificial intelligence to operational challenges. A key component of the Marine Corps’ AI Implementation Strategy, the USMC-NPS Fellowship empowers Marines to advance applied AI in their own commands, while expanding the AI proficiency of the U.S. Marine Corps workforce.
