Chief Warrant Officer 3 Johnny Jenkins pilots an AH‑64E Apache helicopter during his final flight at Katterbach Army Airfield, Germany, Jan. 14. After landing, Jenkins was greeted on the flight line by family, friends and fellow Soldiers, who marked the milestone by showering him with champagne and beer in a traditional post‑flight celebration. Jenkins is retiring after 21 years of service, including 11 years as a 15R Apache repairer, nearly a decade as an Apache pilot, 13 years overseas, and three combat deployments with 2nd Battalion, 2-159th Aviation Regiment (Attack).
