Veterans of the Armed Forces are recognized during the ceremony to memorialize and renamed the Cary, N.C., Army Reserve center in honor Spc. Daniel Lucas Elliott June 8, 2013. Spc. Elliott was killed in action July 15, 2011 in Basra, Iraq, while deployed with the 805th Military Police Company.
