NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Jan. 23, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, presents a challenge coin to Retail Specialist 2nd Class Jabdiel PadillaPerez, assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), during an all-hands call aboard the ship. While aboard Anchorage, McLane attended a prayer breakfast and recognized Sailors for their excellent work. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
