Airmen assigned to the 31st Air Task Force unload an expeditionary headquarters infrastructure during a field training exercise at Ft. Bliss, Texas, Dec. 6, 2025. While exercising core protection and sustainment tasks during the FTX, 31 ATF also tested the capability to deploy a rapidly mobile headquarters in a non-permissive threat environment. Such capabilities allow agile combat employment teams to intuit a battle space, make timely decisions, and communicate effectively without reliance on fixed infrastructure.
