U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine students and personnel wear flight helmets and oxygen masks while sitting in the altitude chamber during the Aerospace Medicine Primary (AMP) 2 course at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, on April 16, 2025. AMP 2 represented a landmark part of the initial qualification training for U.S. Air Force flight medicine providers. As such, it prepared physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to assume key clinical roles as members of team aerospace. This field combined occupational medicine, aerospace physiology, bioenvironmental engineering and military public health with clinical practice. (U.S. Air Force photo / Micah Hung)
