U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine students and personnel sit in the altitude chamber during the Aerospace Medicine Primary (AMP) 2 course at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, on April 16, 2025. The altitude chamber is one of the first training steps for all new pilots and aircrew to demonstrate and know the symptoms of hypoxia. AMP 2 represented a landmark part of the initial qualification training for U.S. Air Force flight medicine providers. As such, it prepared physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to assume key clinical roles as members of team aerospace. (U.S. Air Force photo / Micah Hung)
