Contractors work together using excavators to place riprap on the flood wall of Dike 6 around Folsom Lake on Sept. 11, 2025. The riprap, or large, angular stones, is placed along the floodwall by one excavator while the second one ensures it's properly fitted with the other stones to protect the wall and surrounding land from erosion during high water events.
