A Washington National Guard Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) transports Coast Guardsmen with the U.S. Coast Guard National Strike Force over a flooded roadway on 277th Street, near West Valley Highway, in Kent, Wash., Dec. 17, 2025. The Washington National Guard has been supporting swift water rescue with the King County Sheriff’s Office at Puget Sound Fire Station 73, using LMTVs to transport rescue boats and evacuate stranded citizens in response to catastrophic flooding in western Washington.
