Fort Worth District’s Central Texas Area Office is working with contractors on Fort Hood, Texas, to provide unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing facilities. The facility will house single soldiers of the 1st Calvary Division and is intended to be similar, both functionally and technically, to similar housing in the private-sector community surrounding the installation. The facility will house up to 238 soldiers in 103,950 square feet. In total the district has constructed or refurbished over 100 similar facilities on Fort Hood.
