U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st class Liam Martens and Petty Officer 1st Class Jesse Robb, two divers assigned to Coast Guard Regional Dive Locker Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii, remove an attachment shackle from a buoy chain assembly replacement offshore Port Allen, Hawaii, Dec. 9, 2025. Buoy chain assemblies secure the buoy to a large cement anchor with a large shackle, allowing the buoy to stay on station during tide shifts, as well as movement from wind and swell.
