Adm. Karl Thomas, commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), is briefed by Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) staff during a visit, Dec. 12th. Thomas viewed the shipyard’s production buildings, spoke to Sailors and NNSY employees, and toured USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during the visit. USFFC is responsible for manning, training, equipping and providing combat-ready forces forward to numbered fleets and combatant commanders around the globe.
