Adm. Karl Thomas, commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), is briefed by Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) staff during a visit, Dec. 12th. Thomas viewed the shipyard’s production buildings, spoke to Sailors and NNSY employees, and toured the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during the visit. USFFC is responsible for manning, training, equipping and providing combat-ready forces forward to numbered fleets and combatant commanders around the globe.
