Thomas viewed the shipyard’s production buildings and toured the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during the visit. USFFC is responsible for manning, training, equipping and providing combat-ready forces forward to numbered fleets and combatant commanders around the globe.
