Army senior leaders, including Chief of Staff of the Army General Randy A. George (pictured at left), conduct a final inspection tour on October 6, 2025, during the construction of the 10,000-square-foot interim stables facility at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. The multi-phase construction process utilized an innovative elevated platform design and modular assembly techniques to create a state-of-the-art interim facility for the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment's ceremonial horses. The facility features 26 individual stalls engineered specifically for the 2,000-pound draft horses that conduct military funeral honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
