U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Sargent, 60th Communications Squadron cyber transport systems specialist, assigned to the 22nd Combat Air Base Squadron (CABS), sets up a satellite to acquire a Space X starshield network connection during an exercise, on Beale Air Force Base (AFB), California, Nov. 21, 2025. During the CABS exercise, Airmen showcased their expeditionary skills by utilizing Starshield, the secure version of Starlink for U.S. government use which allows for secure internet connection from remote locations. CABS support the Air Force’s realignment towards cohesive and integrated units of action and deployable wings consisting of mission-ready Airmen needed in the most austere and contested environments.
