Contractor, JF Brennan Company, repairs eroded areas through underwater placement of concrete at the Webbers Falls Stilling Basin in eastern Oklahoma, March 3, 2025.
The erosion, known as scour, was identified during inspections following the 2019 flood event. The first two major phases, known as lifts, have been completed. Between lift one and lift two, the contractor repaired scour areas by placing approximately 5,500 cubic yards of concrete underwater at depths of up to 30 feet. Additional lifts are currently underway to complete the project. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Justin Smither/released)
