File photo of the Tenkiller Lake Dam, Nov. 17, 2022.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, will replace the Tenkiller Spillway Bridge due to its fracture-critical design and severe defects in the superstructure. The project is funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, received in 2023. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2025 and is expected to last approximately 2.5 years.
