Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kevin Diaz, assigned to the 21st Dental Company, and Specialist Ricardo Bocardo, assigned to 524th Division Sustainment Support Battalion, both from California, trim leaves to use as natural mulch on new native plantings. Diaz and Bocardo joined military and civilian volunteers from Defense Information Systems Agency – Pacific, Defense Logistics Agency Pearl Harbor, 17th Operational Weather Squadron, 21st Dental Company, and Navy Region Hawaii in volunteering with the Ko’olau Foundation on Nov. 23 for cultural service work at Haiku Valley. These volunteer efforts, organized through Laulima Navy, reinforce cohesion, team building, and leadership for personnel and their families in Hawaii.
