Petty Officer 1st Class John Carlo Guevarra, a hospital corpsman at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Capt. Virginia Damin, commander of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Camp Pendleton and director of NHCP, during an awards ceremony held in the NHCP Wings of Hope on Nov. 20, 2025. Guevarra was recognized for his superior performance at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit, Sasebo, Japan, where he served as the leading petty officer for the dental and sterilization department.
