Ellison, the commanding general of 3rd Marine Division, talks to Marines with 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, forward deployed under 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program, about the importance of the Alert Contingency Marine Air-Ground Task Force before they conduct an ACM flyaway drill on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 20th, 2025. This ACM exercise is a simulated crisis response drill that must be executed within 24 hours to prepare Marines to mitigate emergencies, provide humanitarian aid, or counter threats to U.S. national interests within the Indo-Pacific region.
