Once both aircraft are refueled, LCpl. Sebastian Aguilar and Cpl. Ryan Feldman, both from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron HMH-772, quickly retrieve both fuel lines, returning them to their CH-53 Super Stallion during an Aviation Delivered Ground Refueling exercise at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, in conjunction with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMLA-773) on Sept. 25, 2025. Aviation-delivered ground refueling is a tactical refueling method that enables military aircraft to receive fuel from ground-based aviation assets. This method is particularly useful in austere environments where traditional refueling infrastructure may not be available.
