U.S. Marine Corps Col. Jeremy W. Beaven, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), addresses guests during the Chef of the Year competition at Anderson Chow Hall, MCBH, Sept. 18, 2025. The competition consisted of each Chef of the Quarter winner or runner-up competing against one another in a cook-off and a series of evaluations, including a written test. The judges graded the food based on presentation, taste, and creativity.
