U.S. Marines Corps food service specialists with Headquarters Battalion; Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH); plate their entree during the Chef of the Year competition at Anderson Chow Hall; MCBH; Sept. 18; 2025. The competition consisted of each Chef of the Quarter winner or runner-up competing against one another in a cook-off and a series of evaluations; including a written test. The judges graded the food based on presentation; taste; and creativity.
