Edward Whitton, who stands in dress uniform alongside family members at home in Charlottesville, North Carolina in the 1940s. Whitton is the great grandfather of Lt. Caitlin Dailey, who is a navigator aboard the USS Shiloh (CG 67) stationed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor - Hickam. Caitlin’s father, retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr.
