NAVAL STATION NORFOLK (Sept. 12, 2025) – Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA), Rear Adm. Carl Lathi, requests permission to go ashore for the final time from Commander, Navy Installations Command, Vice Adm. Scott Gray, during a change of command and retirement ceremony held at Vista Point onboard Naval Station Norfolk, Sept. 12. CNRMA, now commanded by Rear Adm. Stephen Barnett, is the regional coordinator for all shore-based naval personnel and shore activities in the Mid-Atlantic region, which encompasses 20 states, 13 installations, and numerous Navy reserve centers from Maine to Virginia and as far west as Illinois.
