FORT BENNING, GA -- The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit hosted Lt. Gen. Joseph Ryan during the Maneuver Warfighter Conference on September 10. Ryan is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, Operations and Training at the Department of Army Headquarters.
While visiting, he fired several variations of the Next Generation Squad Weapon.
These variations are part of the Army’s product improvement effort for the NGSW program.
By combining research, development, and direct Soldier feedback, the Army is advancing small arms design to increase capability and lethality across the force.
These improvements ensure the Next Generation Squad Weapon is ready to meet the demands of future warfighters.
The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit continues to play a critical role in developing the future of Army marksmanship and small arms innovation.
