250829-N-SS900-1034 NAVAL BASE POINT LOMA (Aug. 29, 2025) Sailors post as part of a color guard during a Commander, Submarine Squadron (CSS) 11 change of command ceremony held aboard Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Scranton (SSN 756) at Naval Base Point Loma, Aug. 29, 2025. During the ceremony, Capt. Phillip Silvia Jr. relieved Capt. Will Wiley as the new commander for CSS-11. CSS-11 is home to four Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines, capable of supporting various missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-ship warfare, strike warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
