National Guard Commanding General, speaks with Soldiers assigned to the 104th Support Maintenance Company, D.C. National Guard, during their evening patrol as a part of the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force around the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C., Aug. 14th, 2025. Approximately 800 National Guard service members comprise JTF-D.C., supporting the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force. These National Guard service members provide critical support, including crowd management, perimeter control, logistics, and communications, in support of law enforcement. A majority of the D.C.
