PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Aug. 8, 2025) - Joanna Victorino, director of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, briefs Tim Nelson, chief of staff for Rep. Ed Case (D-Hawaii), on upcoming SIOP modernization projects during a recent visit to PHNSY & IMF on Aug. 8, 2025. SIOP is a multi-billion-dollar Navy initiative to modernize and improve infrastructure at the nation's four public naval shipyards. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight” by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. (U.S. Navy photo by Kenny Jones)
