U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Jordan Williams, an administration specialist with Installation Personnel Administration Center, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, poses for a photo for winning Marine of the Quarter at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, July 21, 2025. The Marine of the Quarter is awarded to junior enlisted Marines who demonstrate exceptional performance and leadership, and uphold the core values of the Marine Corps.

“It feels good to win something like this, and I’m happy to have made my family proud, nobody could ever put this down for me," said Williams. “I want to thank myself; it sounds selfish . . . but so far I’ve learned to succeed from following my own lead.”

Williams earned Marine of the Quarter for Alpha Company, H&S Bn, MCIPAC, for his achievements that included completing professional military education and career-related materials on Joint Knowledge Online, writing book reports on the Commandant’s Professional Reading List, and setting the example for his peers through physical and personal development.. Williams was born in Sunset, La., and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2024. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Joseph Kreis)
