Army ROTC Cadet Nolan Savard operates a drone during hands-on training at Folsom Dam on July 30. Savard joined cadets William Kiley and Ryan Godwin for the flight instruction as part of the Army ROTC Engineering Internship program. The Sacramento District drone team conducted safety briefings and mission planning sessions with the cadets, who are among dozens selected nationwide for the competitive program administered jointly by U.S. Army Cadet Command and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
