NORFOLK, Va. (July 23, 2025) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class David Boatright, left, and Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Snailande Cornell, Sailors assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), move bins of wooden panels, July 23. Boatright and Cornell attended a Community Relations (COMREL) event to help the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center prepare for the upcoming weekend where thousands of cruise passengers and crew members will arrive and board. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled repairs in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
