NORFOLK, Va. (July 23, 2025) From left, U.S. Navy Chaplain Lt. Josh Palmer, Religious Program Specialist Seaman Reid Salano and Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Snailande Cornell, all assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), assemble the base of a snap edge sign, July 23. The Sailors attended a Community Relations (COMREL) event to help the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center prepare for the upcoming weekend where thousands of cruise passengers and crew members will arrive and board. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled repairs in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
