U.S. Army Lt. Col. William Branch, commander of NATO Multinational Battle Group Poland, 1st Armored Division, 3rd Infantry Division, supporting Task Force Iron, stands alongside Romanian and Poland Land Forces leadership during the “Battle of the Tanks” event at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, July 12, 2025. This annual community event is hosted by the Polish Land Forces 15th Mechanized Brigade and features military equipment displays from the United States, Poland, United Kingdom, and Romania. The highlight of the event is a dynamic performance that showcases armored vehicles, aerial equipment, simulating a combat scenario with gun and artillery fire. Task Force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent to increase lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s only forward-deployed corps in Europe. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Trevor Wilson)
