Two Polish Land Forces W-3 Sokółs fly over a U.S. Army an M1A2 System Enhanced Package V3 Abrams Main Battle Tank and M2A4 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, operated by soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division supporting Task Force Iron, during the “Battle of the Tanks”event at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, July 12, 2025. This annual community event is hosted by the Polish Land Forces 15th Mechanized Brigade and features military equipment displays from the United States, Poland, United Kingdom, and Romania. The highlight of the event is a dynamic performance that showcases armored vehicles and aerial equipment simulating a combat scenario using gun and artillery fire. Task Force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent to increase lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
