Brett Mietus, commander, Joint Region Marianas, military leaders and members of the Barrigada Veterans Organization render salutes during a wreath laying at the Kålaguak memorial ceremony, July 11. During World War II, Japanese military claimed the area for construction of an airstrip and used CHamoru men, women, and children as forced labor.
