A U.S. Army team from 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment,1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division supporting Task Force Iron, paddle their raft through rough waves during the boat race in Lake Peipus at the Estonian Defense Force Soldiers’ Day Competition at Reminku, Estonia on June 5, 2025. The competition featured various individual events such as drone operation, grenade throwing, and land navigation. Team events included a boat race, military functional fitness, and weapons assembly and disassembly. All events utilized Estonian Armed Forces equipment. Task Force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, increasing lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
