U.S. Army soldiers with 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment,1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division supporting Task Force Iron, gathered for a photo with British and Estonian teams at the Estonian Defense Force Soldiers’ Day Competition at Reminku, Estonia on June 5, 2025. The U.S. was represented by Spc. Sterlin Maness, Spc. Jemari Lucios, Spc. Nathan Santana, Staff Sgt. Christopher Gillon, Sgt. Connor Hall, Sgt. Elvin Varela, Spc. Michael Blow, Spc. Anton Lane and 2nd Lt. Samuel Jung. This year 27 teams competed with representation from the United Kingdom, France, Estonian Defense League and Estonian Defense Force. Task Force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, increasing lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
