U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3 and Australian soldiers from the 1st Aviation Regiment refuel an Australian ARH Tiger helicopter using a tactical aviation ground refueling system (TAGRS) at Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin, Australia, July 08, 2025. This is the first time the TAGRS has been used to refuel an Australian aircraft, marking a new milestone in bilateral expeditionary refueling operations. MRF-D 25.3 is part of an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and Allies and partners and provide a forward-postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific.
