A Starlab inflatable planetarium stands ready for students during Marine Corps Systems Command’s Summer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Camp at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., on June 17, 2025. The dome served as a portable classroom where participants could explore astronomy and space science in an immersive environment. More than 40 rising 6th through 9th graders participated in this year’s three-day camp, which focused on team building, creativity, and critical thinking. During the closing ceremony, several groups were recognized for their space-themed creations that included balloon-powered cars and spacecraft docking procedures.
