NORFOLK (June 12, 2025) – Students from colleges across America, enrolled in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) Program receive a tour of the Virginia-Class fast-attack submarine USS Oregon (SSN 793) as part of the day-one-ready Sailors initiative June 12, 2025. One student claimed she didn’t realize how much there was to learn and that doing this tour and seeing it in-person made her even more excited for her future in the Submarine Force.
