Soldier students become trained and certified to operate and run the CS Chamber during their training at the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Course. ASA Fort Dix operates the only CBRN School in the Army Reserve and conducts a monthly 80-hour resident CBRN Defense Course which certifies non-74D MOS Soldiers as CBRN Officers and Noncommissioned Officers. Skills taught to students attending the course include operation of a Company CBRN room, maintenance and operation of Company level CBRN equipment, operation of a CS Chamber, gas mask Performance Assessment Testing (PATS), and planning and execution of Battalion and Company level CBRN training events.
