James Fredericks, a horizontal construction engineer with the Michigan National Guard, operates a bulldozer to move earth during land development operations at Selija, Latvia, June 5, 2025. The effort is part of a joint training mission involving Latvian Zemessardze, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve engineers, and the Michigan National Guard. The cleared site will be used for future NATO training, enhancing interoperability and regional defense cooperation.
