Neal Harvey, commander of the 545th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, on May 10, 2025 places sand from the Anzio beachhead the headstone of a 45th Infantry Division Soldier who was killed in action during World War II and buried at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Nettuno, Italy. Oklahoma National Guard leaders visited the cemetery and memorial to honor the 45th ID members who were killed in action during the campaign to free Italy during WWII.
