U.S. Navy Rear Adm. David Walt, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group 2, U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Samuel Meyer, commander of 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Navy Vice Adm. J.T. Anderson, commander of U.S. Sixth Fleet and commander of Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, British Army Lt. Gen. John Mead, deputy commander of Joint Forces Command Brunssum, and German Navy Rear Adm. Wilhelm Abry, commander of Rostock Naval Command attended the exercise Baltic Operations 2025 (BALTOPS 25) pre-sail conference today in Rostock, Germany. Sixteen NATO allies, more than 40 ships, 25 aircraft and approximately 9,000 personnel kicked off the 54th iteration of BALTOPS 25 today, during the pre-sail conference in Rostock, Germany. BALTOPS 25, the premiere maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
